Teachers’ Workshop – Year 2 to Year 6

NSW Federation of Tamil schools has held a teachers’ workshop for the teachers teaching in Year 2 to Year 6 in Tamil schools. The workshop was held on 19/06/16 from 9:00am to 1:30pm at Girraween Public school (Wentworth Ville Tamil Study Centre). Teachers from member schools & from Canberra Tamil school attended in considerable numbers. The selected teachers from member schools presented their teaching techniques and after each presentation other teachers shared their experiences & views.  This workshop was very productive one as new teachers learned from other experienced teachers. Teachers also shared their views on the Reading books & Workbooks produced by NSWFTS.

Mr. Anna Sundaram and Mr Anbu Jeya moderated the workshop.

Mr Anna Sundaram, Primary school teacher in Balar Malar study center, Examiner for Tamil continuers on behalf of NSW Department of Education and a member of  the Book Committee, NSW Federation of Tamil Schools.

Mr Anbu Jeya, former teacher at Balar Malar Tamil Study Centre, creator of the web sitehttp://www.anbujaya.com for tamil kids and a member of the Book committee, NSW Federation of Tamil Schools.

Mr Anna and Anbu shared their views and provided some insights in preparing the text books and workbooks.

At the end Lunch was served to the participants.
